Siobhán Mullen is a visual artist, born in Belfast, 1972. Her interdisciplinary practice spans performance, video and interactive installation,  with a focus on shifting identity/location politics. She works with conscious and unconscious actions in her practice to consider the authenticity and instability of given moments in live time.Since graduating from the University of Ulster, in 2004 she has performed and exhibited throughout the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Cuba. She has worked as a part-time film studies lecturer at Queens University, Belfast and researcher at Ulster University, Belfast. She simultaneously holds a Failed and 1st Class Honours degree in Fine Art, stemming from her fluctuating relationship with Institution, failure/success and the position from where she makes art. More recent thoughts in her practice surround neurodiversity, human behaviour and fracturing societal codes.

She collaborates with musicians and composers in the field of new and experimental music and is a writer and curator. She was Chair of Bbeyond from 2016-18 and Co-Chair 2018-19.
