Shirley Cameron studied sculpture at St Martins School of Art, 1962 – 66 with Anthony Caro as tutor. She exhibited her sculpture widely and taught at Swansea Art College.
Invented or re-invented Performance Art with Roland Miller starting in 1970 – a dynamic collaboration where RM brought his performance experience to the work and SC brought her art experience. Initially with Arts Council support, produced Performance Art works at venues and outside spaces around Britain, Europe, including Eastern Europe, and in Canada. Also lectured in art colleges and designed and made stage sets.
