Michał Górczyński – composer, theater artist.

He graduated from the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. Since 1998 he has been composing music for various casts: Zróżnicowanie (Differentiation) for two bassoons and clarinet, Rondo à la krakowiakfor screaming pianist and bass clarinet, Malowanie (Painting)fortwo clarinets, bassoon, double bass and singing, Suite inJewish style for clarinet, violin and double bass, cycles of compositions inspired by languages of theworldforviolin, clarinetand cello, and musicfordrama and puppet theatres (about 25 productions).

His creative projects include installations, writing theoretical texts on the subject of authorial theories, radio plays and underground films. He is actively involved in improvisation and interpretation of contemporary music. He has appeared as soloist with such ensembles as: de Ereprijs, Silesian Quartet, Aukso Orchestra, Podlasie Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic. He has participated in the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt, where he presented his authorial performance techniques on bass clarinet.  He has been a co-founder member ofthe Kwartludium ensemble. Since 2008 he has been working on further expanding the sound possibilities ofthe bass clarinet, taking inspiration from the beatbox and collaborating with one ofthe best Polish beatboxers, Patryk TikTak’ Matela.
