Marita Bullmann (born 1982, Munich)

„For me, performance art is one of the liveliest parts of fine art that an artist can create with his/her own capabilities. The situation an artist creates is, in its own right, a portrait and manifestation of personality and perspective. A moment in which the intrinsic context is transferred which communicates a gaze, an opinion as well as values, tempers and peculiarities.

My aim is to create an ephemeral moment which combines/approaches/moves several personal layers. I like to play with certain qualities of disgust, eroticism, failure, sensibility and gender. I like to explore and display borders and physical peculiarities. It‘s in this moment that I offer myself to the audience as communication-surface and open new aspects of simplicity and show their strange nuances.”
