The “Get tied, too” project is a multi-day interactive action, consisting of consecutive volunteers attaching their own length of string to the one tied by their predecessor. Each peace of string is signed by the binder with a peace of cloth with his name on it. The twine is stretched between posts demarcating the event space. Participants have to merge into the existing installation, find the last link and add their own. The end result is an entanglement where everyone, with the exception of outliers, is adding their links between two other signed segments. The title is a play on the word “tie”. One meaning is technical, the other is social and emotional – creating attachments and bonds.
