Marcin Polak
Marcin Polak – graduated photography at the L. Shiller State Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre. In his work he raises important social and political problems, trying to initiate a dialogue between society and the institutionalized elites. He is the driving force behind initiatives to revitalize public spaces in the city of Łódź, including „Lipowa OdNowa”, „Punkt dla Łodzi”, „Miej Miejsce”, „Ratujmy Łódzkie Murale”, and the initiator of “Zawód Artysty” (Occupation: Artist) series of actions, relating to the socioeconomic situation of artists, aiming to change cultural policies. Together with Łukasz Ogórek and Tomasz Załuski he runs the “flying” Czynna Gallery.
