Koji Kamoji

Koji Kamoji – (b. 1935 in Tokyo) polish/japanese painter, installations and objects artist. Between 1953 and 1958 studied at the Musashino Fine Art Academy in Tokyo. In 1959, he moved to Poland to study at the Fine Art Academy in Warsaw (diploma in 1966). Winner of C. K. Norwid Art Critics Award (1975). Since 1967 working with Foksal Gallery in Warsaw.

He had about 50 individual and collective exhibitions, among others: in National Museum (Wrocław), Zachęta Gallery (Warszawa), Art Museum (Łódź), Andzelm Gallery (Lublin), Pi Gallery (Kraków), (Budapest Gallery (Budapest), Galerie Hoffmann (Friedberg), Parko Eleftherias (Ateny), Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (Paris), Richard Demarco Gallery (Edinburgh).
