“One, two, three…” – film
“One, two, three…” is Iza Gustowska’s cinematograhic reaction to the current situation of pandemic. From the cosmic blackness illuminated by the mirror multiplied tiny lights reminiscent of little stars the artist figure gradually multiplied and recording herself. Another layer is created by the sound of the text in the convention of a nursery rhyme whose protagonist is COVID-19. Isolation and lockdown.
Izabella Gustowska. Born in Poznań. A lecturer (full professor) at the Poznan University of Arts, Faculty of Media Arts – Experimental Film Workshop 1 and at the Collegium da Vinci (graphic art). Her artistic practice embraces several media. She has participated in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Her works can be found in numerous museum, gallery and private collections, including MOMA –NYC, Susch Museum, the National Museum – Wrocław, Warsaw, Poznań, the Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Zachęta National Gallery.
